David Eick, Are You Listening?

The March issue of the UK SF magazine SFX, ran a feature on what they, and the fans, wanted from a new Bionic Woman series. The results were what you might expect: Lots of action; Cast requests; Angst; Retro stuff... and of course, Fembots!

In the fans own words....
"I want to see a strong [female] character-driven series where she fights bad guys and uses her bionic abilities to do so. Okay, update the scenarios to be relevant to our time, but we still want to see her lifting cars, running at 60mph and jumping great heights" - Chris Noone
"Fembots! There must be fembots! The bionic sound should stay the same, especially the whistling missle sounds when jaime chucks something. The opening credits ,ust show a shot of Jaime bursting a tennis ball in her hand - thsi is an absolute must!" - Hawkman Dave
"I'd like to see it use lots of bullet time as an updated version of the slow motion running. Have some updated cyborg effects, maybe make the cybernetics believable; have robot arms that would have to be kept covered apart from the hands, and let's have some angst" - Rhialto
"The fembots definitely need to be back and doing bionics in bullet time is a good idea. Nto too much 'woe is me I'm not a real woman as I have fake limbs' nonsense either - maybe just abit at the end of the day without she wouldn't have fab superwoman powers and would also be dead" - Dr R Wells
"What about an unknown actress for the role? Then it would be up to the story to be even more fab!" - Sinead
""I'm not bothered about an updated Bionic Woman to be honest, but I guess if it's going ahead it would be nice to see her get really battle damaged on occasion" - Thing
"Go with alot of modern technologies, bluetooth built-in mobile, internet connection, etc. She could operate her care by remot control or any bluetooth device, access satellite images and even local CCTV. But don't just be an action series. Deal with the effects of bionics too." - Basileus
"How about less of a focus on the career of Ms Bionic, and more of an exploration of corporate politics and intrigue?" - Ticketsformalkovich
"Would it be too much to ask for realism?" - jstarbuck
"Cameos for Lee Majors and Lindsay Wagner. Maybe they could be suffereing from some form of cancer or something due to their bionic implants which is why there's been no more bionics since the '70s." - goodcaptain
"Bigfoot has to return, and the Fembots' faces have to fall off when hit. Yes, these classic moments along the rubber iron bars are what ,ade the Bionic series what it was." - Gaz:THFC
So, Mr. Eick, ARE you listening? The fans have spoken....
