Soon after the show's cancellation, it was released on DVD to capitalise on the, then, word-of-mouth. All 8 episodes were released, along with a mix of extra's from audio commentary on the Pilot to various behind-the-scenes shorts and some cast interviews. Given the show's budget It is surprising that there wasn't a Blu-Ray release as the show would really have shined on the deluxe format.
Below we have examples of the various international covers and disc menus.
UK/US The US and UK release were very similar, both countries had a 2-disc release. Aside from the fact the US release was in one DVD case, where the UK one was in 2 cases, the content was virtually the same, just the menu's differed. The R1 menu was the same style as the German release.
UK/Region 2
Video the of Region 2 disc animations for the main screen and the episode screens.
US/Region 1
German Standard 2-disc release, but the set does have some nice animated menu's, different to the UK /US ones.
French The French release is spread across 3 disc, for some reason, with the disc each having their own sleeve, within a boxset.
Japan Last but not least, a Japanese release which is not easy to get hold of. The set is in a small CD-style box and is across 4 discs. This release also has chapter selection which the others don't, which is a nice touch and although the menu's are not animated they really pop with the blue-theme that is used across them.
EMMY edition There was also a DVD distributed to reviewers for Bionic Woman, for it to be considered in the Emmy awards that year. The disc came in a paper sleeve and contained just the Pilot episode.
