As was the norm, Bionic Woman featured various guest artists tracks playing across the episodes, from Rihanna’s ‘Breakin’ Dishes’ from her then 3rd album, ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’, to Sia’s 2004 track ‘Breathe Me’ which has featured on over 30 different shows in the UK and the US. There was ‘Going Under’ by hit 90’s band Evanescence, which was one of four singles from their 2003 debut album ‘Fallen’.
Ani DiFranco’s ‘Recoil’, from her 2005 album ’Knuckle Down’ was included. Christian rock band Fireflight’ contributed clips from their up-coming 2008 title album ‘Unbreakable’ to promotional clips for the show. Electronic/experimental rock band Sweet Trip added their track ‘DSCO’ from the 2003 album ‘Velocity: Design: Comfort’
The tracks are mainly rock orientated as in line with the show’s darker and action-centric stories. Some of the tracks are more noticeable than others, some just play in the background such as a bar scene with Tori Amos’ ‘Cornflake’ or Wilko’s ‘What Light’ which features as background music in a café scene. More recognisable tracks are Nosiette’s Don’t Give Up’ which is used during a work out scene with Jae in ‘Paradise Lost’ and Rihanna’s ‘Breakin Dishes’ which Jaime and Becca dance around their apartment to in ‘Sisterhood’.
